Good Afternoon Brother & Sisters,
I wish to start off by thanking you for your continued support for our union.
Since my last Contract update that was posted in May, I have continued to negotiate our contract. I called for an Executive Board meeting on June 24,2026 and updated the Executive Board of our negotiations. Let me state that it has been a very tough time this round of contract negotiations. It took 15 months just to negotiate and preserve our lifetime medical benefit at Medicare age. The MTA has launched an attack on all unions, and they are going after all the unions by way of our contracts.
Some of the contract proposals such as wage progression, sick leave cash out, trade/craft title increases, etc. are still on the table for negotiations. I will tell you that we will not stop until we get a contract we deserve. Please continue to support our Union, because "United" We will succeed, "Divided" We will fail.
